'Minecraft: Education Edition' The Game will be Available for Purchase In November

  After a summer of test runs and testing, the full version of Minecraft: Education Edition will officially launch on November 1st. The service will require a $5 annual membership per user or a district-wide license. However the Early Access edition will still be free until November. According to the MinecraftEdu team over 35,000 students and teachers have played in Minecraft's sandbox since the program first launched at the beginning of summer. With the official release, the team built out a few new education-focused features like a Classroom Mode that offers an overview of the Minecraft world via an app companion to the game. The app lets teachers manage the world settings and also interact with students in-game as well as give them items and teleport their children around the map with an interface that is unified. minecraft java As the main Minecraft world grows and adds new features, so does the education edition, and educators are encouraged to submit ideas for features and provide feedback. Finally, for any teachers who haven't stepped into Minecraft's blocky world yet, education.minecraft.net offers some starter worlds, tutorials, free lesson plans in subjects ranging from storytelling to city planning, and a mentoring program to connect them with other educators. Minecraft: Education Edition requires OS X El Capitan, Windows 10, and a free Office 365 account.
